NALSSP Victoria webpage now live PDF Print E-mail
The National Asian Languages and Studies in Schools Program (NALSSP) for Victoria webpage is now live. The Department of Education and Early Childhood Development (DEECD) together with the Association of Independent Schools Victoria (ASIV) and the Catholic Education Commission Victoria (CECV) manages the funds allocated to Victoria through the NALSSP Cross Sectoral Committee to support initiatives under the NALSSP Program’s key results areas of: flexible delivery and pathways; increasing teacher supply and demand and increasing student demand in the targeted languages of Chinese, Indonesian, Japanese and Korean on a system wide level.

Victorian initiatives include:
  1. Chinese Teacher Training Centre
  2. Teacher qualifications upgrade
  3. ICT Professional Learning Project
  4. Professional Standards Project
  5. Building Sustainable Asia literate Schools
  6. Young Ambassadors for Language Learning
