This will be an active workshop so be prepared to get involved! Linton will demonstrate a number of games and activities designed to maximise student oral language and improve student engagement in F-12 classrooms. The workshop schedule will include teacher-only learning as well as participants trying out new activities WITH students. Discussion will centre around how to empower students to lead oral activities and how to ensure that the language generated meets the needs of the learners and their contexts.
 

Presenter: Linton Roe

During his twenty-two years as an educator, Linton has worked as a teacher, school leader, languages coach and educational consultant. He was integrally involved with Bayswater South Primary School's Bilingual Program for many years, during which time he undertook leading roles in many projects but especially in the development of CLIL pedagogy and the Victorian Government's Bilingual Schools Project.

 

Cost:$80 MLTAV Member / $100 non-member

Thanks to funding support from the Victorian Department of Education and Training, government school teachers are offered a subsidy of $30 off the registration rates listed above.  The online registration process has an option to opt for this subsidy.
