Member Services Manager

Modern Language Teachers Association of Victoria (MLTAV)

$26,644.80 plus superannuation (Clerk Private Sector Award Level 4: 20hrs/ week)


 The MLTAV is the Professional Association for teachers of Languages across Victoria. We offer a wide range of Member Services including Professional Learning to support the quality teaching of Languages.

The MLTAV is operated by a committee of dedicated volunteers who are committed to supporting the work of the Association. We are looking to employ a Member Services Manager to manage the financial operations of the organisation and assist in the quality provision of services to members.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): 

Communication with members

- responding to member enquiries

- sending e-updates to members

 Membership database management

- maintaining contact information and annual membership processes
- invoicing and reconciling membership payments

 Professional learning registration management

- advertising and managing registrations for Professional Learning events

- invoicing and reconciling payments for Professional Learning


- reconciling accounts and preparing BAS using Saasu accounting software

- reporting on project budgets


Essential skills and experience:

  • You are a self-motivated person able to work independently to manage a diverse range of responsibilities.
  • You are experienced in bookkeeping and BAS preparation.
  • You are an effective communicator.
  • You are committed to supporting the needs of the members, the committee and the Association.

 The MLTAV Office is located in Thornbury. The position will be 20 hrs/ week, with immediate start.

The days and hours of work are negotiable between Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm.
